The Samadhi International Buddhist and Cultural Centre (SIBCC), rooted in the serene town of Piliyandala, Sri Lanka, is a beacon of hope and humanity. Established by Ven. Dr. Delthara Senananda, SIBCC operates through the Samadhi Foundation and Seelananda Foundation, dedicated to empowering communities, preserving cultural heritage, and promoting Buddhist values of compassion and mindfulness. With a global network spanning Thailand, New Zealand, and India, we bridge cultures and transform lives through welfare, education, and spiritual programs.
” To create a world where humanity thrives, poverty is eradicated, and cultural and spiritual values unite people across borders. “
Founded in 2000, the Samadhi Foundation began as a small initiative to support the poor in Sri Lanka’s Matara District. Under Ven. Dr. Delthara Senananda’s leadership, it grew into a parliamentary-recognized organization, expanding into education, housing, and cultural preservation. The Seelananda Foundation, established in 2010 by Ven. Delthara Gnanananda, joined forces to enhance SIBCC’s global outreach, making it a trusted name in community development and Buddhist cultural exchange.
